Weekly Update 110
Ok do me a favor and pretend I didn’t skip a week. That would help a lot with showing prospective agents how reliable I am and…
Is this thing on?
…
Hello and welcome back to Seth Oberlender’s weekly update blog! This is where I, the writer, keep you, the reader, up to date on my quest to become a published author. So far I have not acquired representation. I have been continuing to try, but in the mean time I have also been playing video games and watching movies.
The current game I am fascinated with is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. If you haven’t heard of this game you need to play it. Expedition 33 might be game of the year and it was released this early, and it only had 30 people making it. That is insane. The game is a turn-based RPG that is heavily inspired by Final Fantasy and Persona (both names you might know if you have read this blog before). The game is also more than that: it is fun. I honestly think anyone can pick it up and find something to like in it. The writing is amazing, the sound track is brilliant, the game play is revolutionary, and the world is so fun it feels illegal to be in it. The one hang up I can see people having with the game is the character design. The human characters are sick; they are fully 3-D models that look amazing. The rest of the world if inhabited by some odd looking beings. I understand if you see some of the enemies in the game and are turned off from it, but I still think you should give it a try. The game is amazing and only $50 at full price (yes that is a great price, those who are not used to buying video games).
The movie I have been thinking of the most is the movie I just saw Sunday: Sinners. I don’t want to go into too much detail here since the movie is still in theaters, but you need to see it. It made me happy to watch movies. It just feels so fun and cool and funny. I will warn you to pay attention to the Rated R part, it is steamy… and bloody.
Ok, that was my week. I have continued to push ahead and will not stop until I am published, but I also need to look for more day jobs. Wish me luck!
